Growing up in rural Northwest Iowa, Cassie developed a deep-rooted passion for agriculture early on. Raised in a farming family, Cassie spent her childhood working on the farm and actively participating in both 4H and FFA. These experiences shaped her strong work ethic and lifelong dedication to agriculture.
Cassie holds a degree in Agricultural and Life Sciences Education from Iowa State University. She first joined Hurley & Associates in the summer of 2015 as an intern and was immediately impressed by the company’s individualized approach to risk management marketing and strong family values. After graduation, she began working full-time as a Farm Marketing Consultant in Glenwood, MN, in June of 2016.
Prior to joining Hurley & Associates, Cassie had a mission to “Arm students with the necessary knowledge and skills to be successful in the agricultural industry.” Today, her goal is to “Alleviate the stress of marketing grain and livestock off the producer, allowing them to focus on their passion for farming and grow that passion in younger generations.”
The mission of Hurley & Associates deeply resonates with Cassie: “To help our clients realize economic stability while maintaining the dignity and value of the farm family.” She embraces this mission by treating every farm as if it were her own, and every client as if they were family. With her background in agricultural education, she strives to ensure that her clients understand the tools and strategies they are using to protect their farms and their future.
Outside of work, Cassie, her husband Tyler and daughter Freya, live on a small hobby farm where they operate a custom woodworking shop, grow a large garden and raise chickens. Cassie enjoys volunteering in her community, and contributing to the company by assisting with coordinating educational meetings and supporting the internship program.
Looking to the future, Cassie is excited to continue growing her family and helping to improve the lives of her clients, ensuring that the current and next generation of farmers thrive.
