Clay comes to the Hurley Team from a small family farm in North Central Ohio, where he was immersed in rural community life and the agriculture industry from a young age. Growing up in a rural community fostered a deep passion for supporting his community.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Findlay as well as a master’s degree from South Dakota State University. While at SDSU, Clay was involved in small ruminant extension and served as the coach of the collegiate wool judging team.
Clay was drawn to Hurley by his commitment to helping rural communities. He strongly believes in the company mission of helping producers gain financial stability while preserving the dignity of the family farm.
Outside of work, Clay enjoys raising sheep with his wife and family, being involved with community events, and spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing.
