Consultant

Scott was raised on a farm and ranch in north-central Nebraska, where he developed a deep passion for agriculture from a young age. Growing up on the family farm raising corn, soybeans, milo, alfalfa, and cattle; Scott knew his future would be rooted in the agricultural industry.

A graduate of South Dakota State University with a degree in Animal Science and minors in Ag Business and Ag Marketing, Scott played football for the Jackrabbits during his time at SDSU. His athletic journey continued after college when he had the opportunity to play in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Amsterdam Admirals, where he won a World Bowl Championship.

When his football career ended, Scott knew he wanted to stay connected to his agricultural roots. He spent 17 years working for the Ag Coop CHS, where he held multiple roles, including nutrition consultant, operations manager, and sales manager. The most rewarding aspect of his work was the opportunity to collaborate directly with farmers and ranchers, those relationships had a lasting impact on him and led him to his current role as a marketing consultant at Hurley and Associates.

Scott and his wife, Lisa, have four children: Tessa, Taylee, Taryn, and Tyson. They live on a farm on the outskirts of Brookings, SD. In his spare time, Scott enjoys watching his kids play sports, traveling with his wife Lisa, and continuing his own farming and cattle-raising endeavors.
